News and Media—On Wednesday May 14th, at the Celebrating Holistic Development event, The Resurrection Project, Alivio Medical Center, Gads Hills Center, LISC/Chicago, Charter One Foundation and other community members celebrated their successful efforts on Health, Education, & Housing in our community. Around 200 community residents were there to learn more about the future of Pilsen and to enjoy of the sounds of the Orozco Mariachis, the dancing of the Orozco Ballet Folklorico and delicious Mexican botanas.

News and Media—On Saturday April 27, Senator Dick Durbin visited Pilsen to learn more about the local issues and how the community is working together to improve its quality of life. Community Leaders from Resurrection Project, Pilsen Neighbors Community Council, and Alivio Medical Center, along with students from Benito Juarez Community Academy, effectively presented their concerns to the Senator on issues such as education, safety, affordable housing and immigration.
