Strategy 3: Family-oriented Community

This strategy will coordinate and expand the efforts of Pilsen's strong network of organizations and agencies that serve community members of all ages, needs, and walks of life, in order to create a stronger, more self-reliant and family-oriented community.  This will be achieve through execution of the following projects:

  • Enhance the role of schools and churches as centers of community life, social programs and family services
  • Catalog, coordinate and improve local programs
  • Expand access to quality, affordable healthcare
  • Make Pilsen a safer community
  • Expand support to immigrants through coordinated programming and a local resources booklet
  • Expand programs at Dvorak Park
