Strategy 1: Housing

In order to expand housing residents for Pilsen, community members developed 5 projects that will help meet that end.

These include:

  • Increase the volume of affordable housing within the neighborhood's boundaries
  • Support inclusion of affordable housing units in all new developments in Pilsen.
  • Improve access to housing and homeownership opportunities.
  • Encourage residents in the new Pilsen Historic District to invest in their housing.
  • Maintain affordability by introducing and passing a continuation of the former 7 percent cap on property assessment increases.
