Anti-Predatory Lending Legislation

TRP supports SB1167, an Illinois state bill currently up for the governor’s signature.  One of the components of SB1167 will require that lenders act in good faith towards their clients.  This will legally hold lenders accountable for treating clients ethically, at the risk of being sued for damages.  We are urging our leaders and community members to call the governor’s office, by calling 217-782-0244 or 312-814-2121 in support of the bill.  To learn more, visit the Illinois Attorney General's office webpage by clicking here.
