El Zócalo

The Pilsen neighborhood is home to one of the largest Mexican communities in Chicago.  People from all over the city flock to this area to experience authentic Mexican culture in the form of food, craft, and music.  Yet one important part of Mexican life is missing – the Zócalo.  In every town, the Zócalo, or Town Square, represents the heart of community life.  A gathering place for the entire community, the Zócalo brings together economic, educational, cultural, social and physical activities.

TRP will be developing the buildings along the Zócalo in 2010; these now-vacant spots are the future site of La Casa, a state-of-the-art community residence hall, new TRP offices, and community space.  Contact Rick at (312) 666-1323 for more information.
