TRP’s Raul Raymundo receives the IMBA’s 2007 Affordable Housing Leadership Award

On Thursday, February 21st 2008 Raul Raymundo, TRP’s Chief Executive Officer was honored by the Affordable Housing Committee of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association with the 2007 Affordable Housing Leadership Award. This award honors individuals and organizations who have demonstrated achievement in increasing affordable housing opportunities throughout the Chicago area.
During the celebration Wesley Kott, Vice Chair of IMBA’s Affordable Housing Committee introduced our CEO, highlighting how he was able to steer a seed capital of $30,000 from 6 local Catholic Parishes to leverage more than $146 million in community reinvestment through the development of affordable housing, community facilities and economic development initiatives. Later Raul took the podium and shared his inspiring story of how TRP continues to make a difference in Chicago communities through hard work and vision. His captivating remarks about the mortgage lending world, the sub-prime crisis tied up with immigration reform showed the wide scope of the different problems our community is facing, impressing audience members with his insider’s opinion.
